Our next selection explores the question, “Why are we still talking about JFK?” The Eyes Of All People weaves rare archival footage with exclusive interviews of prominent figures from America’s past and present to offer a unique perspective on John F. Kennedy’s impact, emotional resonance, and relevance in the modern world. (24 minutes)

We are thrilled to open the festival with A Town Like Diss, the new film from the filmmakers of our 2025 breakout hit and best documentary winner, Welcome to the Orchard of England. Blending real recollection with fantastical re-creation, the film unfolds like a folk tale told by many voices at once. (25 minutes)

Three Women. One Catamaran. And the North Atlantic Ocean.
Women & the Wind is a beautiful and visceral story of a trans-Atlantic voyage, both the beauty to be discovered and the perils to be survived. (90 minutes)

Mara Noka was built more than 50 years ago in Whitby, England. It is a classical NARAI design by James Wharram, who is considered to be the “father of multihulls.”

The head of our jury first saw this film at the Maine International Film Festival, and knew we wanted to show this tale of feuding raccoons who receive an unexpected guest. From Maine filmmaker Gordon LePage, we present Something Greater than You. (9 minutes)

The Oscar-nominated British film A Friend of Dorothy, starring Miriam Margolyes, tells the unlikely story of a transformative friendship between a widow living a solitary routine and a teenager who happens to hit his soccer ball into her yard. Poignant and inspiring, the film shows a side of humanity often forgotten. (21 minutes)
